My name is Jennifer Fleming. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Cupping Therapist.
I am originally from New Brunswick, Canada and I moved to Ontario, Canada in September 2011. I began the Massage Therapy program in April 2012 at Ontario College of Health & Technology in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The program is 5 semesters over a 20 month period, consisting of 2200 education hours. It covers such areas as ethics, massage theory & practice, anatomy, physiology, pathology, orthopedic assessments, exercise & nutritional physiology, kinesiology, etc. It also consists of a student clinic for the final 3 semesters, where the general public is offered massage by the students at a discounted rate. This is where we got to apply our skills and knowledge to real issues and real treatments, alongside a clinic supervisor.

I graduated from the Massage Therapy program in December 2013, and reached my personal goal of achieving honours. I was then required to do 2 exams; a practical, which consisted of 7 different stations, where I had to demonstrate my skills while an instructor scored my performance, and a computerized multiple choice exam, consisting of 150 questions. I passed both exams and received my registration (license) in February 2014.

Before I moved to Georgia, I owned my own massage practice, where I shared a clinic space with a Naturopathic Doctor. I gained a lot of experience working with such conditions as frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis & golfer's elbow, sciatic pain, TMJ dysfunction, plantar fasciitis, back pain, neck issues, and many others. I also worked at a spa, gaining much experience with relaxation and prenatal massage.

The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy approved my training and granted me a Georgia state license in July 2016. I hold an active license with the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy and I am a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). All massage therapists are required to continuously upgrade and learn, earning a specified number of Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) every 2 years in Georgia. I enjoy learning new modalities to include in my practice and gaining more knowledge to share with massage clients.
